Learn a New, Empowering Skill Set
Our increasingly complex and fast-paced world requires us to be effective at influencing others.  Influencing is being able to get people to do what you want or need them to do in a way that lessens defensiveness and increases trust.

Every day you may find yourself needing to influence someone, whether at home, at work, or at school.  It may be a spouse or partner, a child, a co-worker, or a classmate. Many interactions go smoothly, but what do you do when an interaction does not result in what you need or want? You may feel stuck or helpless. And if you get the same result time after time, you may feel frustrated, angry, or hopeless.

Influencing involves communicating with a special skill set. It involves having a goal and requesting the other person to do something specific. Influencing requires accountability and a willingness to be direct and honest and not “beat around the bush” or be vague.

As an individual would you like to . . .

      •   Be more effective at getting what you want or need?
      •   Save time and energy in your communications?
      •   Increase trust and decrease defensiveness in your interactions?
      •   Minimize conflict and communicate with honesty?
      •   Limit time spent with victim thinking and behaviors (yours or others)?

As the member or leader of a team would you like to . . .
      •   Remove obstacles to higher performance, greater customer service,
           and increased profits?
      •   Experience higher levels of productivity trust and morale?
      •   Build better relationships with customers and clients?

This workshop will help you learn and practice a new set of empowering skills and a process that will keep you focused and in control. You can achieve a number of outcomes and results:
      •   Increased effective communication
      •   Decrease stress and stressful interactions

      •   Better manage conflict and confrontation

•   Deal with difficult people and issues more effectively
      •   Improve accountability and performance

     •   Increase efficiency and productivity
      •   Improve working environment

      •   Positively impact goals, whether for you or for a group

This workshop is valuable if you seek to enhance your communication skills or would like to supplement other personal development work.
