Information Package Content
After you finalize the membership of your CDAT and schedule your kick-off meeting, we recommend you send each team member an information package several days before the meeting. By giving everyone the material in advance you will help inform and prepare them.
Suggested items to include in the information package:
Cover letter [Example included below] This letter welcomes the participants and confirms the details of the kick-off meeting. You may want to include a link to the CPD-Resources site so they can review the information there.
Your goals and timelines
List of members and contact information [Example included below]
- Full and correct spelling of name
- Organization, if relevant
- Telephone and email information, with alternates if required
- Brief bios (you may ask the individual to provide this, or you may write a draft and submit it to the individual for editing and approval)
Calendar [Example included below]
First draft of a 12-month view, with a separate section clearly identified for each month.
Include an explanation as to how you will update and distribute or post the calendar.
Operating guidelines
- Complete copy of the operating guidelines and other ground rules.
- You may wish to provide a draft version with a comment column to allow the team member to make notes while reading through it before the kick-off meeting.
